掃除をしていたら昔買ったＣＤが出てきた．このＣＤの肝は最後の曲、「I'd wish for wings」である．日本語の「翼をください」といえば，誰でもわかるはず．この曲，日本語で歌うと「青少年の主張」みたいなさわやかで軽い曲に聞こえるが，英語の合唱で歌うとかなりイメージが違う．ハリケーンが去ったあとのニューオーリンズの空の下で人々が「翼さえあれば，俺達はこの地獄から抜け出せるのだー」と叫んでいるような感じ．まさに、魂の叫び．まさに、ゴスペル．以下に英語の歌詞を載せます．
